When i run my application(.net app) in vista 64 bit OS, vista always put the box saying "Not Respoding" for 5 to 10 seconds and after that application loading and working fine as usaul. I have 4GB RAM in my PC and it is vista business edition. My application ask for username and password initially. After both are verified the home pagewil be loaded.After verifying username and password , while loading home page, there was some soap and tap requests are fired to show some details in the home page. In that time my dialog box (username and password dialog box) was covered by the vista "Not responding" box for 5 to 10 seconds and the main application is loaded. It happens in 32 bit vista machine also. Please some one help me. But things are fine in XP. Thanks.

That's probably because it is not responding. Use a splash screen.
