Different CardSpace versions popping up when using IE or WCF based app

Hello:

I've a machine with Windows Server 2008, containing the older (.NET 3.5) CardSpace selector.
Afterwords, I've installed "CardSpace Geneva".
Now, I've the following behavior:
a) When using IE8, the new selector appears.
b) When using a WCF based app that uses the service bus, the older selector appears.

Is this the right behavior? Shouldn't the new selector also integrate with WCF?

Thanks

The routing of the WCF call to cardspace happens via infocardapi.dll (which is part of .NET 3.x). Geneva install cannot replace system protected files. Hence WCF calls still get's routed to v1. A hotfix for .NET is available on request from customer support. More info at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/962878/

Also, thishotfix is part of Win7 and Vista SP2.

Thanks,
Rakesh

The hotfix is generic and will handle future versions.

Thanks for the reply.

Two questions?

1) The hotfix solves this issue only for the .NET 3.5 SP1 CardSpace version or for any new version? I want to use the Geneva Beta 2 version (the one that I installed last).

2) The KB article does not have a download. Why do I need to "submit a request to Microsoft Customer Service and Support"?

Thanks
Pedro Felix
