Microsoft.NET Framework CAS Policy Manager

Hi all,

I've an application which requires .net framework 2.0 to be installed first. At one point during installation, it will callthe caspol.exe to grant access fora vsto add-in. Andthen it will prompt this message.

Microsoft.NET Framework CAS Policy Manager has encountered problem and need to close. We are sorry for the inconveniance.

When trying to open the app, the message below will appear.
appname.exe - Fatal Error dan CLR error:8007000b

THe OS used is Vista. .Net Framework version installed are .net 2.0, .net 3.0 and .net 3.5. Uninstallation and reinstallation for those .net have been done but still get the same error message.

Edit: Is this a .net problem? A corrupt installation of framework?

I really apporeciate any help. Thanks.

Did you ever find a solution to this? We are seeing the issue on an XP machine, and as with your situation, an uninstall and a reinstall has not corrected it.

Who created the application which calls caspol.exe? Was it you or some 3rd party?

If it is your app, please post full caspol commandwhich failed. Also check if other caspol commands fail as well.

If it is 3rd party app, then try to contact their support, or use some tools to get the information about full caspol.exe command as I asked above.
