Hi All,

My Visual studio freezes everytime Javascript intellisense updates. I believe I can press escape to stop it thinking but is there a way I can turn off the updating or even disable javascript intellisense altogether?

I really don't use this feature and it's just wasting my time everyday.

Any help appreciated.

Do you have the dynamic help window open and visible? I find that is often the culprit behind pauses when editiing code. Can't say I've noted any slow down due to intellisense and I wouldn't want to code without it?

No I don't use the help system and Iturn all the stuff off that I don't need.

I like the html and c# intellisense but I just don't want the javascript intellisense. It seems the only way to turn it off is to turn it off for html and that means the asp tags too.
Guess I'll just have to live with it.

Thats an interesting opinion. However I have found that dynamic help can slow things down. I have also not found any slow dwon due to intellisense. Its not easy to determine beforehand whether my experience was going to be helpful or not. It doesn't do anyone any harm. Whats your problem?

Hi, follow MSDN instruction (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ecfczya1.aspx) to turn off intellisense for Javascript.
In my case, it really increase performance.
