IIS too slow?

Hi

I am developing ASP.NET web apps since some time now. I have been deploying my Apps on the my own system running Win XP Pro SP2. I have the .NET 2.0 framework installed. I recently added a few new projects to my Default Website. Since then, i am observing that IIS has become very slow and sometimes unresponsive. If i try to launch an app from either IIS.msc or using IE, it takes over 3minutes to load a simple page that doesnt have any server controls. I also have some apps that connect to the SQL Server Express, which one can only imagine how long it takes.

Is this some kind of problem or have i done something wrong?

I know that it wasnt this slow before. Its just since a few days. Also I re-installed the ASP.NET Quickstarts due to some problem. (In case that is anyway related). And even that seems to be taking ages to load the first page itself.

Can someone please suggest me how to correct this and speed up my IIS. Whether i should do some tweaking somewhere?

Thanks
