I have several times now to install .Net 3.5, so far everytime I try the installer give me an error.
In the logs i find this:
ExecXmlConfig: Error 0x80040111: failed to load XML file: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\web_mediumtrust.config

Steps take so far.

I have followed this solution:http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2007/11/01/5826719.aspx

I have completly removed all of the .NET Framework versions through the control panel first and then used the cleanup tool at http://astebner.sts.winisp.net/Tools/dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip

I have disabled antivirus,....

The error still persists.
Any help/advice to solve this problem would be most appreciated
