need to create a application to read and add consonants and vowels.

I am creating an application that is for numerology. I am new to development. This application will evaluate the name and full name of the user. I need to create an (array)? that will contain first and last name, then another field for your full name first, middle, last. I need to separate the consonants and vowels assign them a value and create a sum of their totals to one digit. I have another part of this application built to evaluate the birthday field properly. This application will produce multiple numeric values that are 1 digit and each digit represents a part of this person's numerology profile. Six fields. The first part of my question represents two fields, or 2 single numeric values, how can I represent these six fields as individual digits and show their specific meaning. Perhaps a tab, click a tab of your numeric value and read the meaning of this value. I realize it is a long question and hope for some help. Any ideas. I also think regular expressions will simplify my app but I am OK with writing lots of code just to understand C#, or is my thought process wrong. I really don't know where to start with this.
