.net framework is stuck. I've got an update to .net framework 3.5 service pack 1 for the .net framework assistant that won't install. I keep getting messages that say "Updates are ready to install" and then "Installaton failed." Then "Updates are ready to install" and then "Installation failed."
The computer continues to try, but the instalation continues to fail.
It all started when I bought a video game and it required .net framework to run. So as part of the video game installation, it asked me if I wanted to download and install .net framework. So I installed .net framework. And when the game installation was finished,I found out that unfortunately I didn't have enough hardware (memory) to run it.
So, since the game required 2+ Gigabytes of memory I decided to delete it. But something must have went wrong because I've got a .netupdate that won't install.
According to the add / remove programs section ofmy control panel (Windows XP), I've got three different versions of .net framework. 2.0 (sp2), 3.0 (sp2), and 3.5 (sp1).
And .net framework is stuck. I can't delete it, I can't reload it, and I can't update it.
