is there a way to have the selection area of a dropdownlist to auto fit its contents without enlarging the box itself. so if the box is e.g. 100px wide, to have the contents that fold out take the width of the largest content. after selection the box should stil be 100px wide.

Use combobox properties like Maxlength,Maximum size to fix the comboxbox size.
